FAMILY PROMISE - LOCAL
Family Promise provides practical support and guidance to families experiencing homelessness, helping them secure employment and obtain permanent housing. Creekside partners with other churches in Forsyth County to provide meals and lodging for up to four families at a time during designated host weeks.
We are honored to support Family Promise of Forsyth by welcoming these families into our church. Visit our events page to learn about upcoming host weeks and ways you can serve. Together, we can each play a small part in making a lasting difference in the lives of these families.

Family Promise is a national organization whose aim is to transform the lives of families experiencing homelessness by providing temporary housing, meals, and services. The families are typically part of the program for 3-6 months, and when they enter the program, their immediate goals include obtaining employment and developing a budget and savings plan. They make personalized weekly goals that equip them with both the knowledge and the skills they need to be successful in the program and to reach sustainable independence. Host churches like Creekside provide them with temporary housing and meals, and donations and grants assist them with transportation and childcare. This enables the families to save most of the money they earn while in the program.

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’" ~ Matthew 25:37-40
