Fall Fest was the Best!

Posted by Karen Roney on

Fall is in the air!

Last Sunday Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry came together to host our annual Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat! It was a beautiful day and we had over 60 families join in the fun! There were some very creative trunks and some fantastic costumes. The Ellithorp family brought the hay ride back by popular demand and it was full all afternoon long.

Our Student Ministry team did an amazing job pouring into our families. Anslee Davidson led our families in some beautiful worship before hearing a fall themed devotion from Maddie Spenner and Griffin Collins. The students did a phenomenal job bringing a message about being the light of Jesus in a dark world using a pumpkin turning into a jack-o-lantern as their visual analogy. It was so fun for the children to see and very important for all of us to hear!

We wrapped up the evening with some silly family games!! Nothing can get you laughing with your family more than wrapping someone in toilet paper and eating candy pumpkins covered in whip cream! After the event our High School Students stuck around, ate pizza, and had a pumpkin smashing party!!! We are so thankful for a church family that loves to connect and knows how to have fun!!

Special thank you to Melia Harrington from our Children’s Council for taking the lead on this event!!
