Sunday Mornings

Sunday morning Bible study is an integral element in our discipleship offering. As we study and discuss God’s Word together we grow in our love for Jesus and are better equipped to share this love with the world. These are also great places to connect with others and engage in the life of the church.

WOMen's Study

Believing Jesus: Are You Willing To Risk Everything? A Journey Through The Book of Acts By Lisa Harper (Beginning Jan. 15 @ 7pm)
In Believing Jesus, an 8-session DVD study, Lisa Harper retraces the steps of the apostles in the book of Acts, while throwing in a few of her own crazy adventures along the way. The disciples didn't have much of a road map after Jesus ascended to heaven, but God's grace and spirit filled in the gaps as they moved forward. It required their willingness to risk everything to establish a new community that would change the future world. Are you willing to risk everything?

Co-ed Study

I Said This, You Heard That by Kathleen Edelman (Beginning Jan. 15 @ 7pm)
The words you say and the words you hear have the power to shape your entire life. And the more sobering thing—the reason for this study—is that your words have the power to shape other people's lives too.

Before you open your mouth again, learn:
• The words you need to hear from others.
• The words your loved ones need from you.
• The words you're most likely to use as weapons.
• The words that will wound your loved ones.

Hebrews: The Nearness of King Jesus by Lisa Harper

Join us on Mondays beginning Sept.9, 9:30am-noon, for a journey through the Book of Hebrews, a rich, dense section of Scripture that can intimidate the most scholarly biblical student. But Lisa makes digging into Hebrews fun and doable, as only she can, without losing an ounce of depth. Hebrews was a sermon for a specific people and culture in the midst of martyrdom and persecution, but is also so relevant for us today, reminding us to continue walking toward Jesus regardless of our culture or our circumstances. Journey through this bridge between the Old and New Testaments to get to the heart of the matter: Jesus is our accessible King. He is not a faraway God, but an up-close Redeemer who draws near to us. Hebrews helps women make the connection between God the Father and God the Son and reminds us that Jesus is supreme, but He is also compassionate, empathetic, and loving to no end.
